Rodney E. Dillon, Jr., Vice President of Past Perfect Florida History, Inc., is a Florida “cracker,” born in Fort Myers and rasied in Palm Beach county. He received his B.A. in History from Florida Atlantic University and his M.A. in History from the University of Florida.
He has been employed as Research Historian for the Fort Lauderdale Historical Society and Administorator of the Broward County Historical Commission and currently teaches History at Palm Beach State College. Rodney also co-manages The Book Cellar bookstore in Deerfield Beach, in addition to his research and consulting work and on-line book sales with Past Perfect Florida History.
He has served on the Board of Directors of the Florida Historical Society and the Palm Beach County Civil War Round Table and has written several articles on Florida History.
Along with Barbara Poleo, Rodney worked extensively and closely with Director Jeff Mustard as a historical consultant ensuring the historical accuracy and integrity of the production of “Deerfield Days.”
Rodney’s depth of knowledge and extraordinary familiarity with this “period material” proved invaluable in assuring every aspect of historical accuracy was reflected in the production.
